The 404 Firecrest Carbon Tubeless CL Disc Brake Front Wheel has been designed via Zipp’s holistic “Total System Efficiency” concept that balances aerodynamics, weight, rolling resistance and comfort to create a performance ideal for road races or timed solo efforts.

The full carbon rim utilises a hookless tyre interface that naturally reduces its weight without sacrificing any stiffness or strength. This hookless design has a 23mm wide internal measurement to better support the sidewalls of tubeless-ready tyres, helping them to grant reduced rolling resistance while using comfort-inducing lower inflation pressures. The wider internal rim dimension helps to smooth the tyre-to-rim interface, and this works in conjunction with the refined 58mm deep rim profile to scythe through the air and promote extra stability in crosswinds. A dimpled surface completes the rim, further lowering drag.

A Zipp ZR1 DB hub spins smoothly and is durable, and is linked to the rim via Sapim spokes arranged in an efficient and durable two-cross lacing pattern.
